What conditions can you treat?

We are equipped to treat any problems and conditions for which you would normally go to a primary-care physician. We can also respond to minor emergencies, such as lacerations, sprains, falls, and foreign bodies in the eye.

Do I need to sign up for your service?

Housecalls Express is available on an as-needed basis. There are no forms to fill out or eligibility requirements for using our in-home services. Simply call us to arrange for a visit.

Do I have to give up the doctor I have been seeing for years?

Absolutely not! In fact, we regularly work with local physicians to provide care for patients who are temporarily homebound or for whom an office appointment is not readily available. On request we provide physicians with a written report of each visit.

Do you take insurance?

Housecalls Express accepts Medicare assignment and supplements, along with Beech Street and EMI private insurance. We are also participating providers for Advantage Care (the Medicare HMO).

What if I don't have one of those types of insurance coverage?

You can make payment by cash or credit card. We will provide you with a receipt to file for reimbursement from your insurance company.

What if I live in an assisted-living facility?

We routinely see patients at assisted-living facilities throughout Martin and St. Lucie Counties. While most residents use us as their source for primary care, we also see patients for urgent-care problems.

What hours are you available?

Standard visits are conducted Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Urgent care visits can be arranged on evenings, weekends and holidays for an additional fee.

How long will it take to get an appointment?

Our priority is always to provide same-day service. If the need is not urgent and you would prefer another day, we will arrange a date and time that is convenient to your schedule.
